Getting your certificates is really a simple process. Sadly how do you do it is not documented anywhere. So I want to write down the steps for you.

Getting your certificate attested is costly. One page costs Rs. 50/- at TU office balkhu. So if you have a 4 years transcript (6 pages) and a main certificate (1 page), that would mean 7 * 50 = 350 Rs.

1. Go straight to room number 11 front page. There, at the side will be blank forms hung on a rope. Grab one, fill out the number of pages.

There are four sections, for intermediate level, for bachelor level, for masters and for phD. You only have to fill out the number of pages in it.

2. Get your photocopies of the transcripts and the certificates.

3. Go to the bank, fill out their bank voucher and head back to TU.

4. Go to room number 2 (the room with loooong queue, right at the top of the stairs). Give them your voucher along with your initial form. They will give back a printed reciept.

5. Your transcript will be validated in room number 11. (You will have to give the form, your transcript original and the copy).

6. Your certificate will be attested in room number 4. (You will have to give the form, your original certificate and the duplicate).

7. Once this is done, go inside room number 11 and get everything sealed inside an envelop.

Things to take:

1. Original certificates (Transcript and Certificate)
2. Photocopied certificates.
   Get them photocopied somewhere good. Pulchowk has nice xerox centers where you get clean copies. The photocopy centers around TU are worse.
3. Your registration card. (Optional and just in case, mine wasn't needed)
4. Money.
5. Bike would be nice, since you would have to go to the bank, which is 15 minutes walk from TU center.

NOTE:

1. The lunch break stars from 1.30! So do not go around that time. They remain closed for anywhere from half an hour to an hour.
2. Some offices open till 3 (like the science department) and some open till 3.30 (like the certificate attesting section). So go early.

Make sure you have a whole day to spend as you will be running around from room to room, dealing with sag of lazy bones. I hope what I've written helps.
